Erik Smetana is a Compliance Director at Vantage and currently a student at the Carey School of Law in Baltimore.

Before joining Vantage, Erik Smetana worked as a research analyst specializing in political law at Koch Industries, Inc.  In his role, he was the primary internal resource for navigating compliance with: international, federal, and state lobbying requirements; pay to play; campaign finance; government recruiting; and government ethics generally.  His customers included the Koch government affairs team and the compliance teams of each major Koch operating company. In addition, he worked with Koch’s legal team to design and implement new technology aimed at improving the organization of legal data.
