Jasmine Jowers Prout, Vantage Legal’s Director of Operations and People, is a well-versed business operations administrator with experience in local and federal government, religious organizations, and legal services. She has spearheaded organizational shifts that would ensure the empowerment and accountability of team members at all levels, consolidating and upgrading systems and technology, and revamping client and guest experiences; therefore, increasing productivity and effectiveness. Jasmine is committed to high quality, principles, and performance.
Prior to joining Vantage Legal, Jasmine was the Administrative Department Head and Office Manager for The Griffin Firm, PLLC, a law firm providing estate planning, probate administration, elder law, and business succession planning services. She helped build out and strengthen the firm’s administrative team, boost recruitment strategy, establish employee onboarding and training standard operating procedures, created area specific workflows, and enhanced administrative protocols to increase positive client experiences.
Jasmine was the Church Administrator at The New York Avenue Presbyterian Church. During her six years there, she was responsible for managing building operations, business, staff, facilities, and maintenance. Jasmine worked closely with the Board of Trustees and church leadership, overseeing RFP’s and the management of projects, such as the roof replacement, demolition, construction, and buildout of the basement, HVAC renovations, asbestos treatment, security and safety analysis and enhancements and removal, natural disaster repair and recovery, and the capital campaign.
Jasmine found serving the most vulnerable populations in downtown D.C. allowed her to continue observing her ministry to Christ. She served on the project management committee that planned, developed, and implemented the DowntownDC Day Services Center for those experiencing homelessness at The New York Avenue Presbyterian Church in partnership with the DowntownDC Business Improvement District, Department of Homeless Services, and DC Mayor Muriel Bowser. The Center provides services such as job placement, housing, government services, social work, medical, technology, hygiene, laundry, food, and fellowship.
Jasmine began her legal administration experience at the Internal Revenue Service, Office of Chief Counsel, Tax Exempt and Government Entities Division, serving as an administrative professional to tax law attorneys.
Jasmine received her Master of Science degree in Business Management and Public Relations at the University of Maryland, University College in fall 2015. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a focus on Stratification, African American and Women’s Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park in fall 2011. She is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society.
Jasmine resides in Prince George’s County, Maryland with her husband, daughter, and stepson. She is passionate about social cultivation, volunteerism, service, community development, and activism to ensure equity for all and has served as a leader in various community outreach councils and initiatives. She actively supports organizations that support those experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, and social progression.
